Introduction
EZ Testing ("we", "us", "our") builds automated testing tools. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, desktop app, and cloud services — and how we keep it safe.
We wrote this without lawyer-speak where we could. If something here is unclear, email us.
What we collect
We collect the minimum we need to run the product reliably.
- Account info — your name, email, and workspace settings.
- Workflow data — test definitions, run history, and results you create.
- Usage telemetry — anonymized product events to improve the experience.
- Diagnostic logs — crash reports with your permission, redacted of workflow content.
What we don't collect
We don't sell data, and we don't track you across the web. We don't collect:
- The contents of pages your workflows visit beyond what's stored in the workflow itself.
- Biometric data, precise location, or device identifiers for advertising.
- Credentials stored in your workflow vaults — those are encrypted with keys we cannot access.
How we use data
Your data powers the product features you use. Specifically, we use it to:
- Run, schedule, and diagnose your tests.
- Send service notifications (failed runs, security alerts).
- Debug issues you've reported, scoped to your workspace only.
- Understand aggregate product usage. We never look at individual workspaces without explicit support authorization.
Your rights
No matter where you live, you can:
- Access a copy of your data from
Settings → Privacy. - Delete your account at any time. Data is purged within 30 days.
- Correct inaccurate data by updating your profile.
- Port your workflow definitions in JSON format.
EU and UK residents have additional rights under GDPR and UK GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA.
Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. After deletion:
- Workflow data and results are deleted within 30 days.
- Backups are cleared within 90 days.
- Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.
Changes to this policy
We'll email registered users 14 days before material changes take effect. Minor clarifications may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
